Mr. Abdul Halim Nasri holds BSC (Hons) in Actuarial Science from University of Kent. United Kingdom. He has diversified experience of Takaful and Re-Takaful. Prior to assuming the post at Dawood Family Takaful Limited, Mr. Abdul Halim held the position of the Chief Executive Officer of Asean Re-Takaful International (Labuan) Limited. He was also Chief Executive of Arabian Malaysian Takaful Limited (Bahrain).

Dr. Bakht Jamal Shaikh – Head of Operations, EVP

Dr Bakht Jamal Shaikh is an MBBS from Karachi University, a Fellow of Life Management Institute (FLMI) and Master Fellow of Life Management Institute (FLMI/M) from LOMA Atlanta USA. He has over sixteen years experience in Life Operations (including Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance and Policyholders Services) in Pakistan and Middle East.

Mr. Ghazanfar ul Islam – Chief Financial Officer, EVP

Mr. Ghazanfar is an associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He has over ten years of experience in financial management at key positions. During last five years his experience has been specifically related with Islamic finance. He has supervised and participated in large number of Islamic financing arrangements. He has vast experience in wide range of other financial and management areas including audit and financial consultancy.

Mr. Syed Nayyar Hussain – Head of Actuarial Department, VP

Mr. Syed Nayyar is an associate member of Society of Actuaries, USA, and Pakistan Society of Actuaries. He has over eleven years experience in actuarial services in the areas of life insurance and retirement benefits. He has served as an associate actuary at the Actuarial Office of Ministry of Finance in MP-II scale (equivalent to BPS-21). Prior to that he served for nine years at Akhtar & Hasan (Pvt.) Limited, Actuaries, a leading and pioneering actuarial consulting firm of Pakistan.

Dr. Syed Arif Hussain – Head of Group Marketing, SVP

Dr. Arif is an MBBS. He also holds an MBA in General Management. He has vast experience of marketing and sales of group insurance products, as well as underwriting of Group Life & Individual Life. Dr. Arif has held various senior positions in State Life Corporation, which is the largest life insurer in Pakistan.

Mr. Mohammad Asif Haque – Head of Information Technology, VP

Mr. Mohammad Asif Haque holds MBA degree in Information Systems and Electronic Commerce from Georgia State University USA. He started his career as an Oracle Financials Consultant after graduating from IBA Karachi. He has extensive experience in ERP implementation, business process re-engineering and business process mapping. He previously worked at Pakistan State Oil Corporation and oversaw the successful implementation of a number of SAP Modules.

Mr. Muhammad Furqan - Chief Internal Auditor, VP

Mr. Muhammad Furqan is an associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He has over eight years of professional experience of audit and finance. He was associated with two leading international accounting firms Price Water House Coopers (PWC) and Deloitte where he acquired extensive knowledge and experience of audit and financial consultancy. He also has working experience in Middle East countries.

Mr. Nasir Mahmood – Head of Individual Marketing & Alternate Distribution, VP

He has extensive experience of Marketing & Sales in both Canada & Pakistan of over nine years. His experience in Canada includes both Agency Distribution and Independent Brokerage.

Mr. Fahad Alam – Head of Compliance and Company Secretary, AVP

Mr. Fahad Alam is an associate member of Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants. He is currently at the final stage of chartered accountancy examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He has previously worked with a leading International accounting firm Deloitte for seven years, where he acquired extensive experience and knowledge of finance, audit and regulatory framework in Pakistan & Middle East. He has also served as Head of Compliance and Internal Audit in an Investment Bank.

Mr. Tasawur Ali – Manager Training & Development

He is a lecturer & trainer by profession since 1999. His diverse teaching exposure began from Academic teaching of students at Intermediate and Undergraduate levels. He provided Corporate Training to companies like UBL, SSGC, and PIA in business communication skills. He has also taught a wider array of topics related with Islamic Financial Concepts, Marketing Activity for Takaful Consultants with different Takaful firms. He has authored several books and professional manuals related to academic and corporate studies.
